ABOUT ME
I am a freelance copy and line editor, creative writer, and Beta reader. With a degree in English, native fluency, and a background in teaching literature, reading, writing, grammar, and English as a Foreign Language, I bring a thorough knowledge of English to my editing and writing projects. I am also currently enrolled in copyediting courses through the ciep. I have experience editing various forms of writing, including novel-length fiction, biography, business and scientific documents, and academic papers. I am familiar with the Chicago Manual of Style, MLA, AP, and New Hart's Rules, but I can use whichever style guide you need.

I had finished my unpublished manuscript of Memoirs of an American Prima Donna, a reprint of a book from 1913, but was uneasy about using an editor. I wanted to make sure the person I chose wouldn’t edit out the original author’s charming style, which would be considered ‘old fashioned’ in the 21st century. I was concerned needlessly because Ms. Franceschi’s magic managed to keep the original charm of the book while still making it very accessible for today’s audience. She was wonderful, very professional and got my book back to me in a timely manner. Any questions I had were answered promptly, which I greatly appreciated. I highly recommend her.
